Flying Field Safety Rules
Failure to observe these rules can seriously affect the outcome of any claims made against
your AMA Liability Insurance.
1. No person shall be allowed to fly at Field of Dreams R/C Club without a current AMA license.
2. All persons wishing to fly at Field of Dreams are required to be club members, with the following
exceptions:
a. Guests may fly six times a year as long as they have a current AMA card and are
accompanied by a current FOD member. Open house flyins & Contests, where all
clubs and AMA pilots are invited, will not count against guest flyer's number of times
they can fly here.
b. Persons with an AMA chartered club membership from out of town are welcome to fly
with us whenever they are in town.
3. All FOD club members are expected to be supportive and helpful to our guests.
4. All pilots and models must adhere to the current OFFICIAL AMA SAFETY CODE.
5. DO NOT TURN ON YOUR TRANSMITTER without the corresponding Frequency Pin. Place
your current AMA card in the slot provided when you take your Frequency Pin.
6. FLY ONLY BEYOND THE DEADLINE, an invisible line down the center of the runway that

a. Student helicoptor pilots may use the Control Line Circle to practice low level hovering.
b. Fixed wing aircraft temporarily out of the pilots control.
7. Pilots must remain behind either the orange barricade or a Field station when flying.
8. All transmitters shall be goldstickered and/or certified as narrowband. Use of wideband
transmitters is not permitted. Ham operators must have copy of Ham license with them per
FCC regulations.
9. Spectators are welcome and encouraged and must remain outside the areas designated for
pilots only.
10. Individuals under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or acting guardian at all
times.
11. No small children are allowed at or near the flight line.
12. All animals shall be on a leash.
13. Pick up your broken props, and any other plane parts; they play havoc with the mower.

1. All campers need to keep their area clean.
2. All generators need to be turned off by 10:00 pm and can be started up again at 7:00 am. This is
just to be considerate of the other campers.
3. Do not drive on the sprinkler heads in the grass circle.
4. There are no hookups.
